Rooms are located on the upper floors, with charming retro features that give them personality, and the balcony in the larger room allows for a pleasant outdoor space to relax.
The stairs leading up to the rooms are steep and narrow, which might be an issue for those with heavy luggage or limited mobility. Lighting in the stairwell isn't ideal at night, so you'll want a phone torch to navigate safely. Despite this, the breakfast options are decent but might not cater extensively to gluten-free diets unless specifically requested, as I learned .

convenient location, quirky decor, charming retro features
Narrow, steep stairs made transporting luggage a workout!!! Inch of lighting in the stairwell leaves much to be desired-definitely not ideal for those arriving at night.

The location of Casa Ortega is perfect, right by St Charles train station. It made arriving and venturing out around Marseille super easy. The room was cozy, with a charming retro decor that felt inviting. Caroline, the owner, was nice and helped us plan our activities. Breakfast was good, with fresh coffee, croissants, and gluten-free options, which I appreciated. Be prepared for narrow, steep stairs as all rooms are upstairs. This could be challenging for those with mobility issues. Despite the stairs, I loved the quirky vibe and hospitality of this B&B.

The room was stylish and a nice place to relax after exploring the city. I especially appreciated the host's generosity in storing our bicycles and even getting gluten-free bread for breakfast. Plus, the location was really convenient for hopping on a train to visit other areas. It's just a short walk to the beautiful Old Port, which I absolutely enjoyed during my stay.

Charming stay with a awesome breakfast
The decor was uniquely charming, giving the B&B a cozy and quirky feel. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh pastries and a warm atmosphere to connect with other guests. Being just a minute from the train station made our travel plans super easy. The only downside was the narrow stairs, which could be a challenge for some guests.

great location but be prepared for stairs
The location is unbeatable, just steps from the train station for easy travel! Caroline's attentiveness. Her tips on local attractions were helpful. The breakfasts were good, showcasing a mix of pastries and fresh ingredients, made mornings enjoyable. I particularly loved the city view from the balcony-such a picturesque start to the day!
The steep and narrow stairs were a bit challenging, especially with luggage.
